Unclear why Miley didn’t make it out to this year’s Met Gala, but (!!!) she’s kinda sorta reportedly in the middle of a ton of drama with her family. We have a whole explanation below, but TL;DR: The Cyrus kids seemingly picked sides when Tish Cyrus and Billy Ray Cyrus got divorced, and things are allegedly tense with Miley and her sister Noah Cyrus because of it.

A source told Us Weekly back in February that Noah has “always been close with Billy Ray,” adding that this has “caused a rift between her and Miley.” Meanwhile, another insider claimed, “The family dynamics haven’t been the same since the divorce, and now that Tish and Billy Ray are with other people, there’s even more division among them all.”

And You Thought Your Family Was Dramatic...

To make matters more awkward, Noah allegedly used to date Tish Cyrus’s current husband Dominic Purcell. As an Us Weekly insider put it re: this mess, “Noah was [seeing] Dominic when Tish started pursuing him,” Tish “was aware” of the situation, and “Noah is very distraught over Tish stealing Dominic from her.”
