Lady Gaga hasn’t blessed us with her presence at the Met Gala since she showed up in 2019 and delivered one look that was secretly four entirely different ensembles. Hard to top that, so it’s understandable that she needed a break. But sadly, this wasn’t the year she broke her five-year streak, meaning we are truly nothing short of devastated.

While many were hoping to see the celeb make a dazzling return to the Metropolitan Museum of Art for “The Garden of Time,” Gaga was probs a no-show due to being seriously booked and busy these days. After all, her newest film, Joker: Folie à Deux, is about to go on a press tour since the project hits theaters this October.

Oh, and there’s the more ~personal~ news that the A-lister might be engaged!!! Yep, Gaga and her boyfriend Michael Polansky have been dating since 2019 (when they were spotted kissing at midnight on New Year’s Eve), and in 2021, an insider told Entertainment Tonight, “Michael is her North Star. He is such a grounding and guiding presence for her. They are the real deal. He loves Lady Gaga, but he’s in love with Stefani. He loves the theatrics and her artistry, but he is very happy being out of the spotlight and letting her shine.”

And just last month, the singer was spotted with a massive ring on *that* finger during a visit to a friend in West Hollywood, which immediately prompted the rumor mill to start b-u-z-z-i-n-g.
