The long black coat

Our first intro to Maya sees her in this classic black longline coat graveside at her husband Joe's funeral. She later re-wears it in another scene in the series, switching up her all black ensemble with a white polo neck top.
Thanks to the tailored fit and gold button detailing, this design could only be the Full Length Regency Coat from Holland Cooper – now back in stock in all sizes. At just under £800 it is a tad on the spenny side, but Mango's wool coat also delivers.

The grey herringbone coat

Grey herringbone coats were a huge street style trend in winter 2023, proving Maya's fashion credentials. She wears this sleek grey number on a handful of occasions, seen here in one episode adding a pop of colour thanks to a bright green scarf. Love! Yep, we'd say the look is set to stick around.
Her exact coat is Dolce & Gabbana (peep that leopard print lining!), but we'll be shopping this lookalike courtesy of Abercrombie & Fitch at a fraction of the price.

The cream coat

Some viewers have questioned how realistic certain plot points of Fool Me Once *really* are, but if you ask us the biggest one is the fact a mother of a toddler would wear a cream coat and not end up covered in stains. IYKYK. Either way, there's no denying we'd long to make space in our wardrobes for this beauty.
Thanks to Jacky Levy replying to one fan on Instagram, we know Maya is wearing the Karen Millen White Virgin Wool Fitted Coat (finally, a high street design!). While the costume designer shared she bought the coat a year ago via Debenhams, the retailer is still offering strikingly similar versions. We also spied this AllSaints coat if you want something textured.

The trench coat

Worn by the likes of Inspector Gadget, Sherlock Holmes and Columbo, the trench coat is the unofficial uniform of detectives so it's only fitting Maya donned one at some point during the show. And where better to go for a trench coat than Burberry? Maya's coat from this scene was again confirmed by Jacky Levy on Instagram.
The British design house is synonymous with the classic, waterproof style. But if they are unfortunately out of your price range (us), you can always rely on the Great British high street to nail wet-weather dressing. Case in point: this timeless M&S design.

The black shearling biker jacket

Shearling coats in various forms have had something of a comeback the past couple of winter seasons, and we're loving Maya's choice to sport a classic biker jacket silhouette. Her exact jacket featuring buckle detailing is the now sold-out Rei Shearling Biker Jacket from AllSaints – but you may be able to snap one up in store.
Fair warning, shearling is expensive but the high street has plenty of faux options. Our favourite is this Stradivarius jacket that nails the oversized dressing trend.

The navy blazer

Not just exclusively coats, Maya's impeccable style also extends to other areas of her wardrobe including blazers, as seen in this scene. We have long loved a blazer thanks in part to its ability to instantly smarten up jeans and a white tee. So what better item of clothing to wear to interrogate your husband's former headmaster? Don't worry, still no spoilers!
Maya's Veronica Beard design may be pricey at £725, but once you take cost-per-wear into account given we'd live in this jacket year-round, we'd say it's worth the splurge (thank you, girl maths). For something that requires less mental arithmetic, you can't go wrong with Finery's near-identical design.

The black puffer jacket

Okay, we're starting to see why Maya has *SO* many coats when there are this many trending styles. Yep, you guessed it – puffer jackets are another silhouette favoured by the fash pack. Maya's glossy black colourway taps into the ski wear aesthetic perfectly, so no surprise it's from luxury ski fashion brand, Goldbergh.
Maya's jacket is almost completely sold out (not to mention three figures), so we've spotted this H&M puffer as a great alternative – so shiny it's practically reflective plus with the welcome addition of a hood.
