Taylor Swift and Billie Eilish's feud explained
Is there ‘Bad Blood’ between Taylor Swift and Billie Eilish? Um, the singers reportedly feuding is definitely not what I had on my bingo card for this year, but the internet is going wild with speculation.
Back in March, Billie gave an interview which fans interpreted as calling out Taylor, yet Billie was quick to shut down those rumours. But, since then, the singers have released their respective new albums which has people reigniting their alleged feud.
So, is this just the internet pitting two successful women against each other (ugh, per usual) or is there actual drama between the two? Seatbelts on, because here is the alleged drama between Taylor Swift and Billie Eilish explained.
Are Taylor Swift and Billie Eilish feuding?
This all started back in March 2024, when Billie gave an interview calling out musicians for putting out multiple editions of their albums on vinyl and calling it a waste of resources.
“We live in this day and age where, for some reason, it’s very important to some artists to make all sorts of different vinyl and packaging,” she told Billboard. “I can’t even express to you how wasteful it is.“
Now, many took this as a dig towards Taylor, who is known for releasing multiple album vinyls. Taylor also doesn’t have the best track record for her environmentalism, after being called out for her use of private planes for short distances.
Yet, in April, Billie said her comments were not directed at anyone and an issue in the music industry as a whole. On Instagram Stories, she wrote, “Okay so it would be so awesome if people would stop putting words into my mouth and actually read what I said in that Billboard article.
“I wasn’t singling anyone out, these are industry-wide systemic issues. & when it comes to variants, so many artists release them - including ME! which I clearly state in the article,” she continued.
“The climate crisis is now and it’s about all of us being part of the problem and trying to do better sheesh,” Billie concluded. OK, so that’s the end of the alleged drama then, right?

Wrong! So, Taylor began releasing bonus editions of her latest album, The Tortured Poets Department, which Billie fans then interpreted as her taking attention away from Billie’s new album, Hit Me Hard and Soft, and preventing it from taking Taylor’s number one spot on the music charts. Um, a bit far fetched?
Well! Then, most recently, Billie gave an interview on Stationhead Radio where she said that “nobody wants” concerts that are three or more hours long, which Swifties took as a dig towards Taylor and her Eras Tour set list.
"Doing a three hour show.. That's literally psychotic. Nobody wants that. You guys don't want that. I don't want that. I don't even want that as a fan,” she said. “Even my favourite artists I'm not trying to hear them for three hours. That's far too long. That's literally psychotic."
But, previously, Billie has applauded Taylor for her Eras Tour, telling LA Times, “Taylor Swift [is an] untouchable superstar. The fact that they can put on a show that long, and it’s filled for so many incredible moments, is amazing.”
So, is this actual drama between Billie and Taylor or just the Internet pitting them against each other unnecessarily? Hm, we think it’s the latter!
