In a message shared by South Korea's emergency office on 27 December, it was confirmed the actor was found unconscious in a car. He had been under investigation over illegal drug use, according to reports.
At the time, his agency, Hodu & U Entertainment, shared a statement urging people to refrain from spreading false information. “The funeral will take place privately with family members and close friends in attendance,” the statement confirmed.
