Netflix's Top Boy season 5: Where are Stefan's parents?
Dushane and Sully are back at centre stage as the fifth and final season of Top Boy is now on Netflix. The final season sees Stefan living in a care home, after Sully murdered his brother Jamie in the season four finale, and middle brother Aaron moved off to university. But where are his parents?
We know from past storylines that the brothers have lost both their parents, and in the final episode of Top Boy season 4, we see Jamie, Aaron and Stef visiting their father's grave on what would have been his birthday.
Speaking to Dazed ahead of his first season as Jamie in 2019, actor Michael Ward explained, "Jamie is the ruthless gang leader and trying to make moves to be the Top Boy whilst Dushane and Sully are away, whilst looking after his two brothers at home.

Netflix
"He is the mother, father and older brother, because their parents have died. The decisions he is making he doesn’t want to make, but he has to, because he has to pay rent and bills." He added, "The main motivation for him is to protect Aaron and Stef."
While we don't learn when or how Jamie's parents died or when, but one Reddit post (via Express) theorises that Jamie's been legal guardian to his two siblings since he was 18.
Written in 2019 around season one's release, the post read, "Their parents died four years ago when Jamie was 18. He then became legal guardian. So Jamie is 22 [in season four], but has a mature head on his shoulders to accompany his baby-faced features.."

The Tovell family in Top Boy season 4
It's thought in Top Boy, Stefan is 16 years old and in the last year of school, soon to be making decisions about his future. In real life, he's played by 19-year-old actor Araloyin Oshunremi.
