Netflix's Love Is Blind season 6: Who is Matthew?
Contains spoilers for Love Is Blind season six
The pods are back baby! Yep, that's right the sixth season of Love Is Blind officially arrived on Netflix on Valentine's Day, introducing us to a brand new group of singletons, looking to find their future spouse, and one of the singletons getting everyone talking is Matthew.
If you haven't seen the show yet, Love Is Blind brings together a group of men and women, who go on a series of blind dates, in the hope of finding their future husband or wife. The catch? They actually can't see who they're talking to on the dates as they all sit in an individual pod and talk through the pod wall.
While on the dates, they can ask a series of questions and season six contestant Matthew took this to a whole new level when he brought in a series of pre-listed questions and requested each woman answer a different question. This got some rather mixed responses and Matthew ended up walking out on several of his dates. But one person he didn't walk out on was AD, who he formed an instant connection with, only for AD to soon find out he also had it with Amber and had been telling both women the same thing. So who exactly is Matthew? Here's the 101 on him.

Who is Matthew from Love Is Blind?
Matthew is a 37-year-old senior financial advisor from Charlotte, North Carolina. Before heading into the pods, Matthew said he knew was "emotionally guarded" and was looking for someone "intelligent, caring, considerate, hardworking, and driven”. Oh and also wanted someone who was comfortable with his dog sleeping in the bed with them.
Why did Matthew leave Love Is Blind?
During the first episode of Love Is Blind, while Matthew struggles to connect with the majority of the women he does make a connection with AD. And towards the end of the first episode he expresses his feelings for her, saying he wants to propose and that they could leave the show together.
AD is incredibly happily overwhelmed by this news, that is until she hears Amber say Matthew said the exact same thing to her. In episode two Amber and AD later share their stories of Matthew with each other.

During AD's next conversation with Matthew, he reiterated how much he liked AD and would leave with her that day. AD then told Amber about this, who said she would then be leaving the experiment as her worst fear had been "realised".
In AD and Matthew's final conversation they discuss the revelation that Amber has since left the process, with Matthew assuming it was due to him. He then turned around saying he had to leave the experiment to go after Amber.
So far there's been no update from Amber or Matthew if they continued their relationship outside of the experiment. But we'll be sure to update you when we hear anything.
