Katy Perry brought back her brunette hair, and it's so nostalgic

Get ready to feel *super* nostalgic, as Katy Perry just brought back her iconic brunette hair, and it's making us feel like we're back in 2008 all over again.

Yep, after sporting a range of hairstyles recently - from her platinum blonde bob to her beachy Moana waves - it looks like Katy has officially turned the clock back 13 years and has returned to her classic long brunette locks.

Katy showed off her new look while posing on the red carpet at the opening gala for The Academy Museum Of Motion Pictures in LA, in pictures which she also shared on Instagram.

The singer styled her newly-brunette hair into a side fringe with *tonnes* of volume at the back, and it looks like she's stepped straight out of the music video for 'I Kissed a Girl'.

Katy's celeb friends were obviously fans of the new look too, with Miley Cyrus commenting "I love," followed by, "You look sickening". Plus, Olivia Rodridgo also weighed in, writing simply, "gorg".

Katy amped up the nostalgia in an Instagram post prior to her red carpet appearance, posting a video in collaboration with BEHR and Spotify's Music in Color campaign. We can see Katy working her way through some of her old hits, including switching from blonde to brunette hair for her 2009 classic 'Waking Up In Vegas'.

Talk about a major throwback.

Katy once again sported her glossy brunette locks during the clip, and she looks *just* like she did 10 years ago. Obsessed.

Keep the nostalgia coming please, Katy.
