Get ready for some drama as school is back in session at Hartley High, because season two of Heartbreak High just dropped on Netflix. But, we need to know, is Thomas Weatherall leaving the series?
The Australian drama, which is reboot of the 90s series of the same name, follows students and teachers at a Sydney high school as they deal with friendships, relationships and a lot of drama.
Season two dropped on 11th April and had us hooked, and now we've binge-watched the entire thing, here's everything we know about the future of Thomas' character, Malakai.

To catch you up on what happens in the series, Malakai tries to warn Harper about Rowan, but she dismisses him as being a jealous ex-boyfriend and tells him to leave Amerie alone. Soon, Malakai decides that it's best for him to leave Australia for Switzerland without telling anyone.
But, before he leaves, he leaves a note in Amerie's locker confessing his love for her which sadly burns in the school fire. In one of the final scenes of season two, we see him crying on the aeroplane. So, does this mean he's leaving the show?
Well, Thomas has taken to social media to address his character's future on the show. "Bye c*nt. It’s been a crazy few days," the actor wrote on Instagram, in reference to his character's final words to Amerie. "The love and support this show gets is so surreal.
"Thank you to everyone who watches, thank you to this cast, thank you to my dearest mates, and most importantly thank you to the greatest creator and writer [Hannah Carroll Chapman]. Feeling very lucky and overwhelmed," he concluded.
So, while this isn't an official confirmation of his departure from the series, saying thank you to the audience and those involved seems a lot like he's saying goodbye!
