Joey King is truly having a moment thanks to (a) starring in Bullet Train (b) starring in Taylor Swift's music video, (c) nailing every single red carpet outfit she's worn, and (d) getting married to Steven Piet—who also happens to be a director. Basically, she's in the opposite of a flop era, and the time has come to dive into her relationship because it's extremely sweet. Like, even the most die-hard Joey and Jacob fans (friends...it's time to move on) will be on board with these two. So how did they meet? Join us as we travel back to October 2018.
October 2018
Filming begins on Hulu's buzzy new show The Act, starring Joey King as Gypsy Rose Blanchard. And whomst is hired as a director? That'd be Steven, who was all kinds of impressed by Joey. As he told Vanity Fair, “I felt like my job was to step back as much as I could and just have the camera in the right place and let these amazing actors do what they do best.…At times, I was so lost in their performances that I was forgetting to say ‘Cut.’”
(Note: Joey was dating Jacob Elordi while filming The Act, but they broke up circa November 2018.)

E! News reports that Joey and Steven are dating after they're spotted watching Harry Potter and The Chamber of Secrets at the Hollywood Forever Cemetery. Like, if your first date isn't this nerdy, I simply don't want to hear about it!
"They were very affectionate and were with her two sisters sitting watching the movie together. Joey and Steven cuddled the entire time and looked very happy together," a source says. "They had snacks and drinks and were laughing with her sisters."
FYI, Joey posted photos from this night, but Steven hadn't been hard-launched yet.

So we got some sickeningly hot outfits, gathered family (my mom made me a bouquet from the dollar store), hit up a place called Same Day Marriage in Los Angeles, and went bowling and partied.
