Among one of the *many* bombshells unveiled during the Selling Sunset season 5 reunion was Chrishell Stause’s romance with Australian musician G Flip.

“I recently have been spending a lot of time with someone that’s very important to me, their name is G Flip. They’re non-binary so they go by they/them. And they are an extremely talented musician. And it started because, you know, I was just going to be in their video. It’s about this chaotic love story. And, you know, I come from soaps, I love acting, and with the job that we have, I don’t always get to do it. And so at first, of course, I was like, ‘Yes, let’s do that,’” the reality TV star told host Tan France and her fellow castmates during the highly-anticipated May 2022 reunion.

On an episode of the People Every Day podcast, the musician opens up about the possibility of starting a family.

“I definitely see children in my future. Right now, me and Chrishell know where we are in the stages of our lives. And we’re very transparent about that...I love children. I was a music teacher for years before I became a session drummer and then a solo artist. So I was like, I’ve always loved kids, and yeah, definitely one day, that’ll be in the future,” G Flip tells host Janine Rubenstein.

They also add they are “absolutely in awe” of the realtor and feel their relationship “changes the world and it normalizes same-sex relationships. Two people who have the same sex organs can still have children.” We love this for them. 🥺

The Selling Sunset star takes the time to visit G Flip’s native Australia! The two post a series of photos on Instagram as they spend the day at Sydney’s Taronga Zoo petting the cutest animals.

We also get a glimpse into the couple’s playful ’ship c/o a cute vid of Chrishell wearing a koala hat and trying Tim Tams for the first time. “This is a big Australian thing,” she tells her followers as she’s handed a chocolate biscuit. “I’m very Australian right now.”

Chrishell opens up about her relationship in an interview with Vogue, saying she describes it as “unlocked.”

“It’s when they have the key to your heart, but the walls are down and there are no rules or regulations, just love and support,” Chrishell says. “Plus, it ties into real estate, which is actually quite cute!”

Chrishell also notes, “I think my favorite part is just being around G. It’s such a mood-lifting experience; if you ever had the pleasure of being in the same room with them, you would quickly see what I mean. I love feeling that endless support of just wanting the other person to be fully who they are.”

“It really is just a super-open, communicative situation where we don’t want to block anything for either person and we want to offer each other love and support no matter what form it takes,” she explains. “Without a doubt, we’ll always be in each other’s lives, so that feels good. I wouldn’t have known that I’m open to so many things without them kind of opening my eyes.”

After a little less than a year together, Chrishell and G Flip decide to take their relationship to the next level and tie the knot in Las Vegas (because when you know, you know, you know?). Chrishell announces the happy news on Instagram via an extremely cute video (set to G Flip’s song “Be Your Man” because you gotta stay on brand).

Turns out, Chrishell and G Flip’s Vegas wedding was more symbolic than legally binding. About a week and a half after Chrishell announced that she and G Flip had tied the knot, TMZ reports that the pair do not appear to be legally wedded, which it says sources close to the situation have confirmed (both TMZ and Page Six checked for receipts and found no record of a marriage license for the couple in Clark County, Nevada, where Las Vegas is located).

This doesn’t change their commitment to each other or the ’ship though, so no need to spiral over this development. Sources close to the couple told TMZ that even though the Vegas wedding was sans license, “Chrishell and G Flip plan to have an official wedding ceremony somewhere down the line.”

It doesn't take long for Chrishell to weigh in on the buzz surrounding the legality of her and G Flip’s Vegas wedding ceremony. In an interview with SiriusXM Hits 1 LA With Tony Fly and Symon, she's asked outright if she and G Flip are legally married and has this to say (per Entertainment Tonight):

“Well, honestly, I think that everyone is [acting] like that’s the thing. They’re like, ‘Gotcha.’ But to be honest with you, we knew if we did it, we would also hear people say, ‘Oh, you know, G wants a green card.’ Where it’s like G already has a passport, a visa.”

And then later in the interview, she notes:

“It doesn’t matter what we do for the rest of our lives, we’re gonna hear criticism, so we decided we are always just gonna do exactly what we wanna do and I’m not out here to try and prove to people how serious it is or how meaningful it was.…If you don’t believe it, I don’t care and that’s the best part. I don’t need your approval.”

“Nothing will be able to convey how amazing the food was, how lovely the people are, or how impressive the country is run. Although I am only 25% Japanese, I feel really proud to experience this side of my heritage,” she captions a video.

During an interview with People, G Flip opens up about their marriage to Chrishell.

“It's great. We adore each other and we're having so much fun and we're excited for our future and we're so cute together,” they begin before adding, “We have anniversaries for everything. Actually, last week was the anniversary of the first time we kissed, so that was cute. So we have lots of cute little anniversaries, but we always do something special. We like to go on little trips.”

The musician also touches on their recent plans together: “We had a cute little time in London last week. We got massages and had a nice dinner together, but we always do something special. We always get all a bit lovey-dovey. I'm a hopeless romantic, so I get real into it.”
