With Zendaya as co-chair of the 2024 Met Gala, fans were hoping to get an adorable red carpet moment between her and boyfriend Tom Holland.
But sadly, it didn't happen, and the Spider-Man actor was actually absent from the whole event. But why? Metro is putting it down to as golfing injury the actor sustained during a weekend in Scotland, after he was accidentally hit in the face with a ball. Sharing a photo of the injury on his Stories, Tom wrote, "Who ever said golf isn’t a contact sport is full of s**t. You can almost see the dimples."
The fact he was in Scotland suggests he was never intending to be in New York on the Monday, but still.
Instead, Tom took to Instagram to share his reaction to Zendaya on the red carpet, posting photos of both of her looks with the caption, "😍😍😍"
Previously, Tom opened up about his desire to keep their relationship out of the private eye, telling GQ in 2021, "One of the downsides of our fame is that privacy isn’t really in our control anymore, and a moment that you think is between two people that love each other very much is now a moment that is shared with the entire world.
