After Everything ending explained

After fans, listen up as the fifth and final movie, After Everything, is finally here!

The film follows on from After Ever Happy, which sees Tessa (Josephine Langford) and Hardin (Hero Fiennes Tiffin) break up after a story he wrote about their relationship gets published and becomes a bestseller.

So, do Tessa and Hardin get back together, and if so, how does their story end? Here is the ending of After Everything explained.

Hardin goes to Lisbon

Still reeling from his breakup with Tessa, Hardin heads to from Lisbon, Portugal to find a girl named Natalie (Mimi Keene). We learn that years prior, Hardin recorded him and Natalie sleeping together and the video got out, ruining Natalie's life.

So, he wants to make amends and show her that he is a changed person. They catch up, she shows him the city and ultimately, she forgives him after seeing how different he is now. There, he also ends up finishing his book draft, titled Before, and gives Natalie a copy as he mentions her in it.

She approves and soon realises that in the copy he gave her, there is a photograph of a cliffside home she told him she would love to live in. On the back, Hardin wrote, "may you wake up every day with a smile," suggestion that he bought her the property.

Landon and Nora get married

When he arrives back from Lisbon, Hardin attends Landon (Chance Perdomo) and Nora's (Kiana Madeira) wedding, where Tessa is the maid of honour.

At the altar, Landon pushes Hardin to speak with Tessa and the two meet for the first time in over two years since their breakup at the end of the altar.

Hardin and Tessa reunite

After the vows, Hardin learns that Tessa hasn't moved on and is still single. So, he bribes a boy to get Tessa on the dance floor where he approaches her and apologises for publishing his book.

Then, he makes a heartfelt speech about Landon and Nora, where he alludes to his breakup with Tessa, causing her to get upset leave the ceremony.

Hardin goes after Tessa and apologises. Then, they have sex, confess their love for each other and he proposes on the spot, to which she says yes!

Then, in a flash forward, we see Hardin walking through the snow to a house and as her enters, he is greeted by a young girl and we meet a pregnant Tessa. So, it's a happy ever after for Tessa and Hardin!
