Babyfacial's formula uses glycolic, tartaric, and citric acids, which can be very potent. So if you want to ease in a bit, Deep Dive combines MVP exfoliant glycolic acid with gentler malic and mandelic acids, plus a litany of soothers (allantoin, azelaic acid, and licorice root extract, to be exact) to help offset some irritation.
The gel-like texture is similar to Babyfacial in that it doesn't feel goopy or sticky on my skin. I can easily spread it all over my face, then do laundry, cook dinner, watch Perfect Match, DM Harry Jowsey (hi, Harry!), and not worry about the mask getting everywhere. Just smooth over clean skin, leave on for 10 to 15 minutes (if it starts to burn, remove ASAP), then wipe off with a warm, wet washcloth.
